About who needs care: Independent till recent hospital stay for new CHF and AFib. Still mentally well, pays own bills, etc.
Usually awakens around 9 am, gets dressed, has breakfast around 10 a.m. Then reads books or newspaper, watches videos, and/or communicates via with her sisters in Argentina. (my parents immigrated from Argentina to Albany in 1963).
Eats lunch around noon to 1 pmish, dinner around 6ish.
Since her last hospital stay, she uses a walker or rollator to get around her house (all on first floor).
About the care needs: Kind and respectful, willing to converse a bit, able to help her with transfers, encourage walking, assist with bathing (though my mother does like to have her time to read and be independent.)
While my mom speaks English fluently, her first language was Spanish, so if caregiver is predominantly Spanish speaking, that would be fine too.
Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
