About who needs care: Early stage Alzheimers Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship. My father is physically fit and loves to play board games, watch (and talk about) sports, and listen to music. He lives alone and can no longer drive due to his Alzheimer's, so would benefit from someone who could help him with occasional errands. But the most important thing he needs is someone to chat with, someone to go on walks with him, and assist a little with cooking (he likes to cook but is forgetting recipes lately). He also needs "tech" help with his phone, TV and computer often -- simple things like checking the volume is on or rebooting. It would be a great piece of mind for me to know someone is checking in on him regularly as well.
