About who needs care: My 72-year-old mother broke her shoulder and just got home from the hospital. She requires helping bathing, dressing and evening meals. She's pretty much a homebody but she likes her coffee, eating out and watching TV. She lives a simple life overall but she needs help right now as she recovers from surgery. About the care needs: Patient and kind. She does not respond well to feeling disrespected or talked down to. She needs someone who understand she's an impatient 72-year-old woman who is used to being very independent and now has to rely on others for even the basics. She's petite (roughly 5' and 150 lbs) but we'll need someone with a strong back to get her into the shower and help bathe her. We would strongly prefer a woman over a male caregiver. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
