Hands-on Care Needed For My Grandmother In Teaneck

My grandmother Cleo has significant mobility challenges due to arthritis mostly with her knee(s) & feet. She likes to read, paint and complete jigsaw puzzles. She also likes listening to music and watching shows about nature. She would enjoy sitting in the sun when the weather is pleasant. She would enjoy watching a good movie or musical show on television. She enjoys talking on the phone with friend and/or family members. - Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. - Provide mobility assistance and encourage safe physical activity. - Monitor the clients health and well-being, reporting any changes as necessary. - Foster a trusting relationship while respecting the clients independence and privacy. - Engage in companionship activities to alleviate loneliness and promote mental stimulation. - Maintain a safe and clean environment, addressing any potential hazards. Qualifications: - Previous experience working with elderly clients, particularly those with mobility challenges. - Training or certification in elder care, CPR, or first aid is preferred. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. -Embraces new culture and ways of life -Appreciates the arts - Patience and a calm demeanor in stressful situations. - Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the client's needs. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
