About who needs care: Marie suffered a stroke over two months ago after a hip surgery. She just returned home (from the hospital and an inpatient care facility). She has high needs - mostly immobile (cannot walk or get up to use the bathroom), and while she can usually say yes or no her language is now otherwise extremely minimal. She is also often frustrated by her condition and will yell to express that. Mainly we need help with moving her to change her, and being with and watching her while we attend to other caretaking or other activities. She is on a feeding tube system and in a hospital-style bed. About the care needs: A person who is understanding, patient, and strong willed, and who has the ability to help one other person carefully move a grown woman. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
