About who needs care: Maureen would do best with someone upbeat and positive. She plays bridge and follows current events. Her doctors advise daily exercise (including physical therapy and walking.) The best thing for her would be to get up, showered, dressed and have breakfast in the morning. There are many opportunities for her to enjoy at Seabrook once she's ready for the day. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver would be someone with a positive and upbeat personality who enjoys their work. They would be asked to gently encourage our mom to get her day started each morning (hot shower for arthritis, gentle exercises, dressing and breakfast). They should be willing to do light house work, including changing sheets once a week, running a swiffer, keeping the kitchen clean. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
