About who needs care: My son. He is only 23. Legally Blind. Brittle Bones. IDD. Coming home to recuperate after multiple fractures and double knee surgery. Non-weigh bearing for 3 months. Need assistance with toileting, eating, bathing, turning, repositioning, preventing bed sores, transferring out of bed. His hobby is music/drumming/song writing. He is very social and needs companionship during this recovery period as well. About the care needs: Patient and compassionate. Loves music. Good listener as he likes to talk. Creative. Can deal compassionately with perseveration and anxiety. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
