About the job
Seeking short-term (2-3 months) live-in home care near Matawan for my mother in her 80s. The position could transition to a 5-day-a-week caregiver working 6-8 hours a day. Please be willing to do light housekeeping. My mother is somewhat independent but will need assistance when showering and getting dressed. Seeking someone to plan meals with our mother and to handle meal preparation. We're looking for someone to provide companionship in the form of conversation, walks, crafts, reading, and playing games. Seeking someone who has their own mode of transportation and can run errands now and then. Duties include transportation (doctor's appointments, errands, etc.). Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets (there are two cats), and CPR / first-aid trained.
