About who needs care: My mom has terminal bile duct cancer. She is going to have supportive hospice at home. She is mostly mobile but not great. She is 83 years old and has battled multiple cancers for 30 years. My father is at home with her and has been great but 85 and turning 86 soon. He needs help with cleaning her and helping her when he wants to run an errand. Helping with meals to heat up and encourage her to eat. General help with keeping the house organized and tidy. They have a cleaning person come in. At some point she will become bed bound but is generally mobile moving from bed to bathroom, bed to living room. She doesn't have a great deal of stamina. We will be getting a hospital bed soon. About the care needs: Looking for a kind caring person. One that has patience for older people and a sense of humor. My parents are Irish Catholic and watch or attend mass regularly. Someone with strength to help with mobility and cleaning if she soils herself. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
