About who needs care: My neighbor is 91 years old and has a daughter who is 62. Her daughter has Down Syndrome related dementia, and the mother is seeking someone to come to her house for 3 hours Sat/Sun to interact with her daughter. This can be conversation, dancing, games, TV etc About the care needs: Enthusiasm and patience. Mom tends to be meddlesome (well meaning) and controlling, but is in need of some relief from her long days of care taking. She has state- paid help overnight and on weekdays, but otherwise the two live a life of isolation. Services needed include: companionship.
