My father has had mild cognitive impairment () for seven years, and his short-term memory is nearly gone. Once simple tasks - like remembering to eat lunch or to brush your teeth - are no longer consistent. My mother has made a valiant effort to be his caretaker, but the work is taking a clear mental and physical toll. (And frankly, she could use an extra eye on her as well as her mobility isn't the best.) Right now, we're looking for someone consistent to come in on weekdays to help prepare meals, help around the house, and ensure they have what they need. We're flexible on days and the set hours. If this post is of interest, I'd love to connect with you.
