About the job
Looking for a weekday live-in caregiver for my father who is receiving hospice care at home for lung cancer in Hoboken, NJ. He lives with his wife who has early stage dementia, but she does not require care. We currently have a weekend aide who comes Friday afternoon and leaves Monday morning, so we are looking for someone Mondays (arrival 8am) through Fridays (depart 3pm). He has been on hospice since February. He is ambulatory but he requires a lot of mobility assistance. He likes to go outside to the park in the wheelchair. My father lives with his wife who takes care of herself but she has early stage dementia, and difficult behaviors sometimes. We prefer to work with a CNA who is comfortable and experienced with all the issues a cancer hospice patient faces, as well as experience dealing with people with dementia.
