About the job
My mom is 61 and has vascular dementia. My dad (her primary caregiver) and I are looking for companionship care to give us occasional relief from our caregiving responsibilities because she cannot be alone. We do not need help managing medications, bathing, dressing, or any type of medical care. We would like someone to come and keep her company and ideally help engage her brain by completing cognitive therapy exercises or other activities like coloring and puzzles. Unfortunately, we do not have the specifics of what we need yet in terms of frequency, days, times, and what we would pay. We hope to settle on that information soon but wanted to get this job posting out there as a preliminary step so that we can explore our options. Thank you!
