About who needs care: My mom currently is having difficulty cleaning herself and changing herself. She spent 8 months in the hospital and 3 months at rehab, so still weak physically and needs help with certain tasks. She is able to stand and walk short distances, although a bit wobbly. She has been wearing pull ups. She's able to get to the bathroom when she to urinate, but due to a tube feed diet and stomach issues, she is unable to tell when she defecates and needs help cleaning there. I still live with her, and can manage most of her need, but I work overnight shifts from 6pm-6 a.m. Still unsure of her definite needs and how many hours we would need a day but working that out About the care needs: Mom is very organized and specific with how things are done. She's very punctual, needs clear explanations of what's happening and loves keeping notes and receipts. She would need someone with patience, organized and humorous. She loves to joke and tease and needs that energy back. Its her first time home in 10 months and I want it feeling less like a hospital/medical setting, so a funny, personable aid would be best. Mom also loves music, rock and roll from the 60s/70s/80s in particular. Will want to listen to it a lot. She's become a fan of puzzles. Were still looking for new hobbies to do in retirement, so someone creative or with experience in various hobbies that could explain some would be great too. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
