About who needs care: Blind, mild/moderate dementia, incontinent, slow/wobbly/barely ambulatory. Pleasant demeanor. Needs help with morning routine - stripping and washing bed linens (wets bed every night), making bed, possible shower and light dressing/eating assistance, light housekeeping, personal assistance and general companionship. In home care needed an hour or so in the morning. In home care is likely a bridge to skilled nursing care in a facility. Husband (me) cannot meet her moment to moment needs 24/7 any longer and get enough sleep to function. About the care needs: Should be available an hour or so in the morning, be pleasant and reliable along with a genuine interest in helping others. Must be able to operate washer/dryer and hang clothes on clothes line. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
