I need a live-in home care provider experience for my wife in her 70s. Medication management is required. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping. One of your responsibilities will be helping with bathing. Personal care required, including feeding. Seeking someone to handle meal preparation. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. My wife suffers from PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) which is similar to Parkinson's disease. Her right arm & leg are compromised and has weak trunk musculature. She has an expressive aphasia. She understands you (takes time) but can't talk. She is not bedridden yet and we get her up everyday. Caregiver must be able to do transfers. I'm considering purchasing a lift recliner to make transfers easier.. She has dysphagia & needs thickened liquids and pureed food.
