Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Swanzey

About who needs care: She has suspected early onset dementia; home health nurses and said she has trouble making sound decisions (financial, homely, etc.) She has cancer and a few other physical problems but needs help making sure she takes her meds correctly and insulin to keep blood sugars down. She has sores all over her body that she picks at subconsciously and there are blood stains everywhere she sits / lays. She is a big fan of gardening / knitting / reading. She usually isn't awake until late morning / early afternoon and stays up well past midnight (says she cant sleep but just sits in bed and reads). We have been trying to get her into the senior center activities About the care needs: Someone with a nice sense of humor and a sunny disposition. We need someone that is able to make the right (tougher) decisions for her like understanding how food should be (she currently overbuys food and I throw out a lot because it goes bad and moldy because there's so much it has to be left out - and her response is "ill just eat around it" but like someone who is able to be firm with her and communicate to her what is wrong and that we are helping (she doesn't listen to me and shuts me down if I try to do any of that). Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
