About the job
About who needs care: The care is for my Grandmother, Rose. She has Alzheimer's. She also has a hard time walking and moving about. She is losing her eyesight but refuses to accept it. She likes to read books and do crossword puzzles. Her day usually consists of getting up and ready, having coffee, then she sits in her chair all day, likes to watch the news at noon, has tea in the afternoon, reads, does her word search books. She usually falls asleep in her chair several times. By 4:30/5 she likes to start getting into her evening/bedtime routine even though she wont go to be for several more hours. About the care needs: We are looking for someone who can help us with some of the day to day things. Rose does not like to shower - she uses a wash cloth and sink. Rose does not like to put on new, clean clothes - she forgets she just wore the outfit. We need someone that can help get her changed, bathed. Which she will argue about and put up a fuss. We would like someone that could help clean up Roses space - her bedroom and her bathroom. This person would also be there to help give us a chance to go run errands without Rose, like grocery shopping. This can be clarified with a conversation better then typing. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
