About the job
About who needs care: My mom had a stroke on July 22. She is home from rehab but needs help toileting and dressing. She lives with my dad who is 91 and cannot do transfers safely. We have a one bedroom apartment in the home which would be perfect for a live in caregiver... friendly pets are welcome! They do have a large dog. Help would be needed to get her to the bathroom if needed at night. She gets up around 7-8 a.m. and gets ready for her day. She will have PT and OT in home hopefully five days a week. All family members live within 10 minutes of the home so we are available for time off and overnights as needed. About the care needs: A warm hearted, flexible, fun loving, large dog tolerant, social person would be a blessing! My mom is a chatter and loves to read about everything and adores science, sewing, horses, and nature. Her favorite thing in the world is walking her dog in the woods. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
