About who needs care: Mom has moderate memory loss. She likes to watch TV, play piano and arrange photographs. She needs companionship when her husband is at dialysis. She needs help remembering to not wander off or use the stairs unless necessary as she is recovering from hip surgery. About the care needs: She is proud and independent and needs companionship to avoid unsafe situations such as wandering off due to her memory loss. The stairs to the living area are steep and she should be discouraged from using the stairs unless necessary. It might be best to find a creative way to describe this work; personal assistant, perhaps? She does not require help with hygiene or feeding. In the future, it is possible that we will look for help with meal preparation on one or two days per week. Services needed include: companionship.
