About who needs care: My mom lives in a mobile home at a community home park. She lives a lone with a cat. She recently had a pacemaker put in because she had been falling at home. She is being seen by her primary doctor and has home health nursing and therapy for a while. She uses a walker and a rollator with a seat. Her bathroom is equipped with grab bars and a bathtub seat. She has a close neighbor on the right of home that has a key to the house as well. She fell again today and needed stitches to her forehead. She is functional for her age, but needs more assistance. I plan to get her a fall alert system as well. She is not a morning person, so we are looking to hire someone from 1:00-4:00 p.m. She enjoys watching TV, doing word search books, and doing 300 piece puzzles. She likes to do light projects in the house as well. She is also a retired nurse and is friendly and caring. She enjoys social interaction with people. She currently has meals on wheels as well, but she eats lightly. She is mainly in on just a few over the counter medications. She has two walkers, but use them inconsistently. She also has plenty of proper foot wear to help decrease falling. She has side rails on the steps as well with proper outside lighting for safety. She has some upcoming follow up appointments for her pacemaker. She will need someone to be around when she showers, help with some daily household work, light meal prep, walking with her, help with the cat for food and water water, to include help with the litter box. We supply everything for the cat. The cat is friendly, but shy. Also, we need this person to make sure she is wearing her fall alert necklace of bracelet when it arrives. About the care needs: We are looking for someone with a friendly and positive attitude. Someone who listens and notices details especially with any safety concerns. We are looking for a person that is mature, responsible, and reliable. We are looking for someone to provide some assistance as if she was their mom or a loved one. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
