About the job
We are seeking new care team members for our mom who lives in a lovely wheelchair-accessible condo with her small dog. Mom is not grumpy to caregivers - she is kind, introverted, and intelligent! Mom primarily uses a wheelchair to be moved around her home with stand-by supervision during transfers. For these PM shifts, she primarily needs help with toileting, meal prep, range-of-motion exercises, and occasional outings in her wheelchair van. Mom was diagnosed with brain cancer 12 years ago and has already survived her prognosis by over a decade. We think her positive attitude and kind spirit have played a big part in this feat! While she is now in remission, Mom does have some physical and mental effects leftover from her treatment, particularly she has difficulty with her speech and limited mobility on the right side of her body.
