About the job
A few years ago, I became a full-time caregiver for a wonderful woman and friend of 47 years who suffered a stroke in 2020 and a second, more challenging stroke one year later. She is wheelchair dependent and needs assistance with activities of daily living, medication assistance, and transfers to and from her wheelchair or toilet. Despite her challenges, she has a great personality, is very appreciative, loves visiting, going for walks and being active. We have a significant amount of medical equipment to support her needs. I'm looking for a kind and patient woman to support us with relief care. This may require someone being here to assist while I do things around the house and yard, run errands, or participate in activities that I enjoy. Someone who could do day relief and possibly an occasional overnight stay would be ideal.
