About who needs care: My mother has congestive heart failure and is on oxygen 24-7. She has been able to bathe and feed herself up until now, but repeated hematomas and deteriorating strength are frequently making her unable to walk. She also has four cats to care for, which I help her with as much as I can. I am away at work most of the day. About the care needs: My mom loves books, cats, and gardening. She isn't very social, but isn't anti-social, just quiet. She likes to play Upwords, and color in adult color books. The caregiver should be able to assist in the bathroom if needed and will need to help her get up from sitting from time to time. She weighs about 200 pounds. I'm also looking into assisted living options, just trying to find her the best solution. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
