About who needs care: My mother is 86 years old and has dementia and Alzheimer's. She lives alone with my 89-year-old father. He requires little assistance. However, my dad serves as my moms primary caregiver. She often sleeps until 3-4 p.m. My father feeds her at this time. Most days, she doesn't get dressed and stays in her housecoat. She can go to the bathroom herself, but needs standby assistance when bathing, which is generally once a week. We are looking for someone who can assist with my mother. Primary duties include ensuring that she gets bathed, conducting light housekeeping, helping with grocery shopping, and preparing evening meals. About the care needs: Personality, good fit, and patience. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
