Companion Care Needed For My Father In Alliance

About who needs care: He has FTD, Lewy body dementia's otherwise is physically very healthy. He is a farmer and has no hobbies other than work so this transition is hard. Gardening could be a hobby or interest. His dog Gracie is his best companion. We have a nurse who comes each morning and gets him his meds and BP and makes sure he is okay. We want someone who will become his friend that we could have transition over time to more care as his needs increase. He wants to stay home as long as possible of course. About the care needs: He is a quiet more soft spoken guy. He doesn't like when people talk too loud or too much. He used to be a little gruff and hot headed but, is much more gentle now. So, I would say someone who can mirror his personality. Companionship is what he needs now, he gets very lonely especially in the evenings he tends to go to bed really early just out of boredom. They should probably have some skills working with dementia patients to calm them and help with their anxiety. He loved to play hockey when he was younger & still enjoys the sport. We also always had horses and he showed and rode in parades. He was also an avid trap shooter and hunter too. He enjoys looking at old pictures and reminiscing about the old days. He enjoys going for drives to check crops or cattle too. I think he would enjoy gardening or having a few chickens but, he doesn't right now. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
