Hi all! My mom has been a full-time caregiver to my dad since last May and she is burnt out. We are looking for help to come in for around ~8-10 hours per week to give her a break. Here's the situation: My dad (64) was diagnosed with brain cancer last May. His biopsy caused a stroke (brain bleed). The effects of the stroke + tumor combined mean he is currently in a wheelchair (paralyzed on one side) with severe aphasia. The ideal person would be comfortable helping him transfer in/out of bed, using the restroom, occasionally showering, guiding him through a home weight workout and helping him prepare a meal. Looking forward to talking with anyone who is interested. Thanks! Sarah
