About the job
My husband and I are seeking a full time live-in home caregiver to care for my mother with dementia in her 70s. We are looking for someone live with us in a separate downstairs apartment in our house. My mother is physically pretty healthy and sleeps a lot, meaning the caregiver would have a lot of down time. She requires assistance with grooming, meal prep, medication management, bathing, and exercise. This position also requires general housekeeping and support with errands and medical appointments. Caregiver must have own car. Caregiver must be a non-smoker and be comfortable with pets. Caregiver would have own bedroom/bathroom/living room/kitchen/patio. We will pay a full time salary of $40K per year, plus $2K towards health insurance. Housing/utilities are included on top of this (+$12K annually). Total compensation is $54, 000.
