About who needs care: My mother is 78 with end-stage colon cancer. I am seeking someone to help her two days a week for three hours each day with the following to start. This role would grow to more hours and days as her condition needs. Meal prep Light housework. Laundry Checking mail Taking out trash Be my eyes and ears She suffers from anxiety and has lived alone for a long time. You must respect her space and ask/tell her what you plan to do until she is comfortable with you. She will not tolerate someone who comes in and takes over without including her in your plans. I would also like the person to be able to transition into helping her with her hygiene when the time comes. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
