About who needs care: I need help caring for my mother in my home. She suffered a prolonged seizure which left her with right rear brain damage. This has affected her ability to communicate. She is unable to walk and does not have use of her left side. She needs to be fed and offered something to drink throughout the day, as well as needing pericare. Her typical day is meds/breakfast/hydration/pericare (I handle this), nap, lunch/hydration/pericare, nap, dinner/hydration/meds/oral care/pericare, asleep for the night. About the care needs: I need someone compassionate, attentive, someone who can take initiative and handle what needs to be done. Someone that enjoys helping others and wants to make a difference in my mother's life. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
