About who needs care: Virginia has light memory loss (very light dementia), but still has an overall good memory. She can carry on a conversation with no problem and is usually pretty sharp, mentally. Is mobile with the assistance of a cart, but very slowly. She does not go out of the house much. She spends her time puzzling, playing Solitaire, Reading and watching The Weather Channel, The View and Sports. In between, she takes 1-2 hour naps a day. About the care needs: A good personality fit would be somebody who can be firm about Virginia eating meals and staying hydrated, but would also need to be comfortable with little idle conversation. Virginia is friendly, but naturally introverted and self-absorbed (in a quiet way). If the caretaker likes to puzzle (1000 piece jigsaw puzzles), that would be ideal. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
