About who needs care: Dan is going to be 99, he is very independent and completely mentally competent. He is starting to lose lower body mobility due to arthritis in knee and is basically wheel chair bound. He pushes himself around and exercises but needs help standing and transferring to the sofa and bed. He has diabetes but a nurse comes in to administer meds (hes also pretty capable himself). Looking for a full time care giver possibly a live in to help in the morning making the bed, laundry and getting his clothes ready he had been dressing on his own but I think hes going to need help with that from now on (starting to have heart failure which limits his strength). About the care needs: Dan is competent and pretty independent he noticed and is irritated by. Caregivers that act like hourly workers and go on their devices while in the room with him. He doesnt need much care but does need someone there for safety. He likes to do puzzles and is a good conversationalist Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
