About the job
I'm looking for hands-on dementia care for my wife in her 70s. We need Alzheimer's experience and seek a long-term commitment for weekends and occasional subbing for our weekday caregiver. May soon need evening/night help all days. Medication management is required. Please be willing to do light housekeeping. Assistance with bathing and dressing is one of our requirements. Seeking someone to handle meal preparation. Looking for a caring and compassionate companion. Your responsibilities will include taking her out. You should own dependable transportation and will be generously compensated (doctor's appointments, errands, etc.). Preference is for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained. Pay $25-$30 depending on experience. Pleasant surroundings on our horse farm. Agencies need not apply.
