About the job
About who needs care: Mom is 67 with Alzheimers. She is pretty self sufficient, but cannot be left alone due to forgetfulness. She loves outings, especially a thrift shop or TJMax type stores. Her favorite place to eat is Cracker Barrel. Her favorite type of food is seafood otherwise. If we could have help, it would be best that she just think the person is my friend. No matter what I have tried so far, she does not believe me that she doesn't remember.. she has been here in our home for 3 years and always talks about when I get back home . About the care needs: Someone very kind. Good sense of humor and can tolerate mom smoking. Mom will excuse herself to be outside, as far as she can put herself, to smoke a cigarette. She smokes way less when she is busy, but on average smokes about 2/3 a pack a day. Mom likes to eat out. She is tiny and taking her out to eat helps her to remember to eat. I make homemade meals daily but she thinks she has already eaten and will resist having a meal. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, and mobility assistance.
