About who needs care: Cognitive decline - dementia - some OCD behaviors. Forgets daily tasks if someones not with him. Needs help getting his meal ready. Can no longer operate his microwave or stove (which is for the best). Wears hearing aids but will choose not to wear them if given the opportunity. Impulsive, makes poor choices. Obsessed with picking up leaves from his yard, for instance. Can be stubborn about tasks. About the care needs: Needs a patient caregiver and one who is routine oriented. I am with him daily and will continue to do so, but I need some relief. He is obsessed with his money several times a week and does not understand why he has no income (he has income but it is direct deposited and he does not understand that concept any more). Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
