About who needs care: Diagnosed with dementia but still functioning well. Has a small dog. Has the most need for companionship and help with preparing meals and general tasks. Occasional transport to grocery store or doctor appointment About the care needs: Ok with there being a dog around, patient and calm with sense of humor. Mom is pretty conservative and her filters are off due to the dementia so she says things that can sometimes be offensive. She does best with older caretakers (50+) and people who are comfortable helping her do things (vs doing them for her). Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
