Personal Care Aide/ Senior Companion

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable personal care aide to provide support for our 81-year-old mother who is a retired registered nurse. The ideal candidate will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, hygiene, and meal preparation. Additionally, we are looking for someone who enjoys spending time conversing and engaging with her, as she values companionship and social interaction. **Responsibilities:** - Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks - Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed - Light housekeeping related to her care (e. g., keeping her area tidy, laundry) - Provide companionship through conversations and activities - Monitor and ensure her comfort, safety, and well-being - Support with medication reminders (if necessary) **Qualifications:** - Prior experience providing personal care or working as a caregiver for elderly individuals - Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor with a good bedside manner - Strong communication skills, particularly with seniors - Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or supporting during transfers (if needed) - CPR/First Aid certification (preferred) **Preferred Traits:** - Personable and enjoys engaging in conversations - Experience or familiarity working with retired healthcare professionals - Strong sense of empathy and commitment to providing high-quality care If you are passionate about providing compassionate care and making a positive impact in someone's life, we would love to hear from you and would like to schedule a face to face meeting.
