About who needs care: My mother has dementia but is still conversant and pleasant. She is independent and her care giver will need to be adept and gracious about how they offer to help her with tasks of daily living. She has had several falls and is a fall risk. For her safety, she has gotten to the place that she needs someone close by and ready to assist with showering, dressing, meal prep, light laundry, etc. We also want someone who will be a companion and encourage activities such as art and crafts, games, puzzles, cooking/baking, sewing, flower arranging, etc - to keep mom engaged and NOT simply watching the television. About the care needs: I talked about this in my previous answer. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
