About the job
We are looking for a weekday caregiver for my mom. She has MS is total care/non-weightbearing. She does have limited use of her hands. Job responsibilities include: Assisting with all activities of daily living, morning routine, getting up and dressed, grooming, transfers, showering weekly, toileting, preparing breakfast and lunch, assisting with eating when necessary, light housekeeping (tidying, dishes, folding and switching laundry, etc...), occaisional transportation to drs. appts (conversion van with wheelchair ramp provided). Our ideal caregiver: experience with total care or mobility impaired individuals, kind, patient, dependable, and comfortable with transfers using a Hoyer lift and care of a super pubic catheter. Despite her physical limitations, my mom has an awesome personality-she's bright, funny and still full of life.
