Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Missoula

About who needs care: mom has early-to-mid stage Alzheimer's, is very happy-go-lucky, interested in people, their lives, what they do, she'll ask all kinds of questions about you, where you went to school (she was a high school teacher), will want to know about your family. I'm her main caretaker, but still work right now - mainly from home. but we're looking for someone to be with her 1 to 2 days a week so I can go into the office. Time with her would be making lunch, going for walks, maybe running errands, working on arts and crafts, watching shows (she loves travel shows, documentaries, etc.). Company and friendship are the main tasks, she's very social, loves people. Ideal day would be getting some kind of mellow walk for exercise, do something around the house, maybe go out for a coffee, or just a drive. She can still handle using the toilet on her own, but sometimes I've had to help when she has an accident (she wears disposable underwear "Depends" these days). She's easy going, but she does ask the same thing over and over - mainly deals with confusion about the schedule, what's going on, who's around, etc. We laugh a lot though, I've enjoyed this time with her. About the care needs: Type of personality that would be a good fit - I would think anyone doing this work would be a good fit! As long as a caregiver is patient, mom moves slowly, but has the energy to get out, see things, grab a coffee (and more importantly, a pastry!), see the world, enjoy good weather. She's up for any little adventure - we walk on campus, or along the river. If you have your own errands to run and she can join you, she just likes to get out. So, this could be a win-win in the sense that you'd be able to do some of your own things, just having her with you and making sure she's safe. Again, hobbies are travel, reading, good shows, being as active as possible, working on art or photography, listening to podcasts, news, etc. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
