About who needs care: Displaying signs of dementia. Recently had hip surgery, and has a prosthetic on one leg. High blood pressure. She loves music, nature shows, reading, opera, bird watching, politics. She is usually up by 6:30 and is eating breakfast by 7. She will read news in the morning, and when able, ride her stationary bike. Lunch is usually around 12:30 or 1, and then she will read in the afternoon. Dinner is around 6 at night, and then she watches her shows until about 9 pm, then she gets ready for bed and will read in her bed until about 10:30. She does get up a few times during the night to use the bathroom. About the care needs: Her ideal fit would be someone who is fairly quiet, but who likes to have interesting conversations about current events and politics (she is a liberal democrat). Someone who also shares love for the arts (opera, plays, classic literature) would be nice. She does have 2 cats, so an animal lover is important, and someone who is detail oriented and cleanly. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
