About who needs care: My mother has mild cognitive impairment and my step father is her care giver. My step father needs respite as my mother has physical mobility issues and can no longer do chores, cook, clean, do laundry - even getting dressed is sometimes difficult. My step father needs help with household chores and cooking and keeping her company. About the care needs: My step father is having a hard time emotionally with losing competence and is sometimes quite gruff/crabby. My mother is sweet and entirely dependent on him. Someone mature, no-nonsense, and with a sense of humor would be the best fit. Confident and assertive without being too bossy. My parents have been displaced from their assisted living in LA due to the fires. They were in our vacation home in Bozeman for holidays and their return to LA has been delayed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
