About who needs care: My mother has Multiple Sclerosis and a Suprapubic catheter for neurogenic bladder. She is able to bath and feed herself, watch tv, and moves throughout the home all day in her wheelchair. She has lift supplies and moves throughout the home in a wheelchair. medical equipment in the home includes a Sarah and overhead lift from bed to bathroom for bathing. My dad will have prostate surgery 7/29 and will need assistance with her morning and evening care and a few basic duties for 1 month. He will be able to assist with all things except lifting during that time.
Hobbies listening to music, watching tv, talking to friends on the phone, working on her iPad, reading
Typical day- wake, overhead lift to bathroom for bath( she has a shower chair and bathes herself), change Foley catheter to leg bag- needs assistance. Dress( she can dress herself with minimal assistance) transfer from shower to wheelchair and spends her day in the kitchen and living room area. Evening is the reverse of this with lift from chair to bath to bed.
About the care needs: Easy going, loves to read her Bible and talk to friends. Does most of her personal care.
Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
