About who needs care: She has difficulty transferring from her wheelchair k the bedside commode due to vertigo. She has her full mind and lives with her son and grandson. She is hard hearing and blind in one eye
She is very lonely and I feel she has given up on life due to being alone so much. She loves gardening, cooking, crocheting, talking about the times past. She is a Christian woman and would prefer someone who is of the Christian faith.
She wakes up in the mornings, gets dressed and takes her medications around 10 p.m. She then would try to do some light housekeeping because she just feels so useless. Around noon, my brother already has her meals prepared. She will either read, watch old tv shows, or play a game on her tablet before dozing off due to being so bored. After she wakes, she would take her meds and do pretty much the same thing again
About the care needs: Happy and settled
A mother and grandmother who loves to talk about times past and her family
A hard worker is someone she bonds with
Someone who possibly had gardened and canned vegetables. Someone who has had to live a frugal life and understands the concept of hard work.
Someone who is not easily offended by
Varying comments that are meant in the best way but may come across as judgmental or irritating
Maybe someone that crochets, lives westerns and old b&w shows, doesn't curse or drink or smoke, who loves God deeply and isn't ashamed to talk about him but not religion
Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
