About who needs care: My brother is needing assistance once he returns home from the rehab. He is a diabetic, double amputee, renal patient. Since being hospitalized he has lost a lot of weight and strength to be able to care for himself. He is very visually impaired as well. He will need assistance with medication management, toileting, bathing, transportation to and from dialysis, food prep. He can feed himself, but he can't see well enough to prepare his own meals. About the care needs: We are looking for someone with patience and understands working with someone who is a renal patient, the type of diet that is needed, and monitoring blood sugars. My brother loves sports and food. Trying new foods. So someone who enjoys cooking would be ideal. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
