About who needs care: I am diabetic, but have been able to stop insulin shots. Am losing weight and take a shot once a week to help my pancreas produce insulin. Also, I am visiting with my surgeon Hospital for a pre-op conference soon, and am tentatively scheduled for knee surgery on Sept 23. I don't know yet if I will be able to return home at once, or have to go to a rehab facility. About the care needs: I have always been an avid reader, sewing and embroidery, Also enjoy watching church services online and tv, Bible study, I have a cat who will mostly be in the house as the weather gets colder. I enjoy trying new recipes. I have been a widow living alone for the past 5 years. My son usually comes here at least once a week and helps me with paper work and meds. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
