Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Saint Paul

About who needs care: Seeking part-time care and assistance with my step mother. She had a stroke about 10years ago and lost function of the left side of her body. Also beat breast cancer and is currently fighting stage 4 lung cancer. She is wheelchair bound. She can eat on her own, but needs assistance in prepping meals. also needs assistance toileting, showering, dressing, getting in/out of bed etc. Could have assistance with some Physical therapy if PCA is trained in that. She currently lives at home with my dad, who is her full-time caregiver. We don't have a lot of family support, in great need of help. My step mom is funny, has a good sense of humor. She is a big fan of sports and country music. She mostly watches tv (by choice) and has a routine of daily shows. Mostly the news and a couple of game shows. Although, I think it would be great if she branched out with additional activities. She can take a while to warm up, but once she does, she is truly a kind and caring soul. Her typical day is pretty routined. She wakes up, we help get her ready, she plays her brain games on her tablet while her breakfast is made. She has breakfast, watches her shows until dinner time. Eats dinner, and watches evening shows and gets ready for bed. weather permitting, we'll take her on a walk. About the care needs: It would be great if we had someone who was warm, funny, and gentle but assertive (she can be a bit stubborn sometimes). Someone who is strong, my stepmom has an easy lift that is used daily to help her toilet. She also has a shower wheel chair that would require pushing if PCA is able to help her shower. If they are skilled in using this type of equipment, skilled in showering, PT exercises (new step machine), light cooking, potentially light laundry. As far as hobbies or interests, potentially someone who is interested in sports to country music. Ultimately someone who can hold a conversation and/or be ok if she's not feeling like talking. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
