About who needs care: Severe COPD, uses oxygen. She has extremely fragile skin from chronic steroid dependence. She needs a very "gentle touch". Also has AFib, CHF, and history of heart attack. Needs assistance with mobility, ADL's, meal preparation. Hobbies would be bird watching I guess, but her eyesight is poor. She particularly needs help first thing in the morning, but would need support throughout the day. About the care needs: She needs someone with a wealth of patience, who understands a person's anxiety and fear about losing their independence. I'm not going to lie, she can be a challenge. She's very smart, knows her health conditions well, and wants things done "her way". Skills needed would be basic assistance with mobility and daily activities such as hygiene, and cooking skills. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
