About who needs care: My Dad is a gentle soul with Parkinsons disease. My step-mom needs help with caring for him at home. Help in the morning into the late afternoon with daily living activities, personal care, and PT/OT exercises would be ideal. Occasional assistance to accompany to dr appointments would be helpful. About the care needs: Knowledgeable in care for Parkinsons patients would be helpful. Due to Parkinsons, movements are slow, speech is soft and minimal, but cognitive awareness is age appropriate, so a patient caregiver is needed to give dad the time he needs to do tasks. Dad is a retired GM engineer, who loves trains, history, nat geo, game shows and even the hallmark channel. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
