I'm looking for hands-on care for my parents in their 80s. Initially we are looking for 24/7 care, with overnights lasting a few weeks to up to two months. My mom is returning home after a long hospital stay. She will need help dressing, bathing and toileting until she regains her strength. She was independent with all these things, including walking, prior to this injury. My dad uses a walker and is mostly independent. His individual needs are administering meds, minimal assistance dressing and encouragement getting into and out of bed. We're working on a diagnosis for his memory issues. Responsibilities (including above): grocery shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping, encouragement doing PT exercises for both, transportation to doc appts as needed. I have a more detailed document I can provide as necessary.
